Patios: questions people ask
Why has my old patio sunk and gone uneven?
Usually because the slabs were laid on sand or spots of mortar over a base that was never compacted. Re-laying on a proper sub-base with full mortar beds fixes it for good.
Can you re-lay my existing slabs?
Yes, if they are sound. Benno lifts them, builds the base properly and re-lays them, replacing any that are cracked.
Will the patio drain properly?
It is laid with a slight fall away from the house so rain runs off rather than pooling, and edged so it does not spread.
