Benno puts up new fencing and replaces what the last storm took: close-board, feather-edge, slatted and panel fencing, on concrete or timber posts set properly in the ground. He also does gates, trellis tops and the one leaning panel you keep meaning to sort.

Fencing: questions people ask
What type of fencing do you put up?
Close-board and feather-edge, slatted contemporary fencing, panel fencing on concrete or timber posts, trellis tops and gates. The right one depends on how exposed the garden is and what you want it to look like.
Can you just replace the panels that blew down?
Yes, as long as the posts are still sound. If the posts have rotted at the base, which is usually why panels go, they need replacing too or the new panels will follow the old ones.
Do I need to speak to my neighbour first?
It is worth it. A boundary fence is often shared, and it helps to agree who owns it and what is going up before the work starts.
